We’d like to extend a hearty welcome to the newest member of the OrgSpring nonprofit network of sites, the California Consumer Affairs Association.
The California Consumer Affairs Association (http://calcaa.org) was established in 1974 as a non-profit association of federal, state and local government and non-profit consumer protection organizations.
CalCAA’s work includes:
- Identifying top consumer frauds and emerging issues
- Identifying and duplicating effective consumer protection programs
- Advocating for legislation, public policy, and best business practices to enhance consumer protection.
Each year the organization hosts a convention with hundreds and state and federal law enforcement officials, consumer advocates, and legislators. This year, the 37th Annual Conference is being held at Cal State University – Long Beach, where OrgSpring has been asked to speak on nonprofit web technology. You can read more about our workshop at the convention in our post: Using the Web to Raise Funds and Engage Supporters.
We are proud to work with this important organization and hope you’ll stop by it’s new website at www.CalCAA.org to learn more about them and how you can become a safer consumer.
